The 2006 Volunteer Appreciation Potluck, filled Booker Hall with familiar faces, great food and fun music. The potluck was a great success with a turnout of about 50 people. Everyone seemed to be thrilled with the variety of different foods from birra, carnitas, enchiladas, pasta salads, pumpkin pie and so much more to chose from.

It was nice to see all the volunteers together having a good time. The volunteers received a gift bag with a cap with the La Luz logo and a few small Christmas ornaments. The most exciting part of the night was the raffle. Everyone waited anxiously to see if their numbers would be called out. Winners walked away with decorative pillows, notebooks, Christmas cards and purses.

Thank you to all the staff who helped put it together and to the volunteers who help day after day to make La Luz a better place. All your hard work and dedication is truly appreciated.

La fiesta de reconocimiento para los voluntarios del 2006, estuvo llena de caras familiares, estupenda comida y música. Fue un éxito, atendieron más de 50 personas. Todos estaban emocionados con la variedad de comida que hubo: birra, carnitas, enchiladas, ensaladas de pasta, pastel de calabaza y mucho más.

Fue bonito mirar a todos los voluntarios juntos teniendo pláticas agradables. Los voluntarios recibieron una bolsa con una gorra con el logo de La Luz y adornos Navideños. Pero lo más divertido de la noche fue la rifa de los regalos grandes. Todos esperaban ansiosamente para ver si anunciaban sus números. Los ganadores se fueron con almohadas decorativas, libretas, cartas de Navidad y bolsas para mujeres.

Gracias a todos los empleados de La Luz que ayudaron con las cena y a todos los voluntarios que ayudan en La Luz día tras día. Todo su trabajo y dedicación es muy apreciado.
