La Luz's education program develops and implement educational resources to help all community members break existing barriers in building a strong and healthy multicultural community in Sonoma Valley. This program features English, Computer Literacy and Consumer Awareness classes, scholarships and achievement awards, a lending library, and assistance to parents to improve public education.

English as a Second Language
This education program offers English as a Second Language to English learners utilizing different techniques with the help of community volunteer teachers.
Classes: Tue & Thu, 9:30-11:30am/ Thu Evening, 79 pm

Computer Literacy
This program provides basic and intermediate orientation to computers and instruction for limited English speakers through La Luz’s Computer Learning Center. Learn more about this program here.

Classes: Mon & Wed, 6-8pm/ Sat, 5-8pm

Consumer Awareness
This program works to educate Latinos about their rights and responsibilities in order to help them become competence, confident and informed consumers.

Scholarship Awards & Dictionaries
This program gives scholarships to Latino students moving on to higher education it also provides dictionary awards to students in Sonoma Valley Elementary and Middle Schools who have shown outstanding achievement in learning English.
